Upcoming beauty products for September 2013

Hello, I have six brand new launches coming out in the month of September and there are more launches but I would actually buy these products.

The first one is by Sleek makeup and it is their vintage romance collection. This collection consists of two products, one is an I Divine pallet in Showstoppers and a blush called Vintage. The colours in the i divine palette are all very autumn inspired such as berry colours and very neutral brown colours. Also there are three finishes to the eyeshadows; matte, shimmer and sparkle which is the norm for sleek limited edition palettes. The blush is a neutral but very shimmery and sparkly. The sparkle is an iridescent silver glitters which could look over powerful if applied too much. As I have said before this is a limited edition collection, so I would get it before they run out of stock or stop selling it. The eyeshadow palette is £7.99 and the blush costs £4.99.

The next one is a blush by Benefit. I have already done a blog post on the new benefit blush. Please see the following link for more information about the Benefit blush - http://laurensmart1993.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/benefit-rockateur-new-launch.html

The third product being launched in the month of September is by Models Own. Models Own are releasing the firework collection. I love the names of the nail polishes and the name of the whole collection. The firework collection includes five glitter nail polishes. These glitter nail polishes can be used as a top coat over another nail polish or on their own. Sparkler contains holographic strands in a clear base. Catherine Wheel contains four glitters which includes mini gold strands, red dots and holographic strands. Banger contains blue strands, two shades of blue hexes and fuchsia micro glitter in a clear base. Roman Candle contains pink glitter with black and silver strands in a clear base. Lastly Rocket contains red strands with black dots in a clear base. They each costs £5 but I know on the Models Own website, they will usually do a deal where you buy the whole lot for £20 pound. This collection has already been launched in their bottle shops, 2nd September for the official Models Own website, 4th September for Boots stores and 25th September for superdrug stores.

The next nail polish collection launch is Essie. Essie are releasing six new shades for the autumn and winter 2013. The names of the nail polishes follow, For the twill of it which is a rich maple with reflective olive shimmer. After school boy blazer which is a deep midnight blue. Twin sweater set which is a vibrant crimson red. Cashmere bathrobe which is a soft, true grey. The lace iron which is a jewel toned fuchsia. Lastly Vested interest which is a woollen cool grey teal. This collection is getting launched in Boots and Superdrug at £7.99 each.

The second to last one is by MUA and it is a brand new palette. I don't know what the name of this palette is called but I know it is a neutral toned palette. The first row of colours start from very light highlight colours to light browns. Then the second row is from medium to dark browns with one very deep/grey blue. I think this palette will be under £5 like with the other palettes from MUA.

The last product is from Rimmel London and it is their new stay matte mousse foundation. This is a lightweight, shine control, long lasting foundation.  Their are six shades; light porcelain, Ivory, True ivory, Soft beige, Classic beige and Natural beige. This foundation will be release on 4th September in Boots and superdrug at £5,99.

These are all the products coming out in September. I hoped you liked this post.

Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover Review

I never really tried eye makeup removers until I tried this and this did not let me down. Clinique take the day off makeup remover has been in my makeup bag for a couple of years and has got to be a staple in my collection. Finding a new eye makeup remover will be hard since this remover is pretty good and has set the standard for other removers.

The Clinique take the day off makeup remover is a bi phase formula which basically means there is an oil within the formula which gets rid of the makeup and then water section to clean up the oil. When shaken, these two sections meet and create the actual remover and that is when it is fine to use.

I first tried it from a sample in Glamour magazine a few years back and it was quite a big sample and it lasted for a while. At first I didn't like it because it felt quite oily but I finished the bottle and bought a 50ml size from Boots which is nearly empty.

I love this remover because it literally removes every single particle of makeup and its brilliant for contact wearers. I wear contacts so its highly important to find a product which wont sting or irritate with my contacts. This remover was perfect because I sometimes got a bit of the product in my eye which is not on purpose but it made my eyes a bit blurry for a while but it never irritated or stung my eyes. After a while the blurry vision went back to normal. I feel like I am not going to worry if I get any of this into my eyes since it doesn't cause a reaction.

Also the take the day off makeup remover helped to remove all my makeup without any hassle. However it felt quite oily because of all the oils removing the makeup. To get rid of this oil, I just used a clean tissue and wiped away the remover which left my skin feeling fine and the makeup gone.

The top on the bottle is a screw top which helps to stop the bottle from leaking and it is a child safety lock to prevent children from opening the bottle. Its 100% fragrance free and doesnt have a strong overpowering smell.

Pros
*Takes off every bit of makeup
*Lasts a long time
*Screw top lid to secure the product
*Available in different sizes
*Brilliant for contact wearers

Cons
*Expensive
*Feels oily on the eyelids

Overall I love this makeup remover and perfect for me because I wear contacts, a bit expensive but worth the money.

You can get this in large Boots stores and online, basically any shop which sells Clinique products and it costs £17.00.

Very.co.uk Haul - Summer 2013

I never really had a positive experience with an online shop because everytime I ordered something, something got lost, didn't turn up or the wrong colour. Every single time I have ordered clothes from very.co.uk or boohoo something went wrong. When I looked on very.co.uk website, I saw some tops that I actually liked and I thought to myself should I risk something going wrong again? Well I took the risk.

I originally ordered four tops which I liked a lot and I payed for it and it came within a day which was pretty amazing. When I opened the package up, I saw the three t - shirts which I ordered and one which was actually a guys shirt. I do not know how that got mixed up since I didn't order it. I wrapped it up again and sent it back to very to either get a refund or get my original t-shirt I ordered.

After weeks of waiting, I contacted customer service to find out what was going on. Basically they some how lost my package and couldn't find it. They did give me a full refund for the missing t-shirt but I actually wanted the t-shirt.

If you would like to see what I got from very.co.uk in a video, then please see the video below.

Thank You

Urban Decay Ammo Pallet Tutorial - Blue, Brown and Pink

The last time I did a makeup tutorial was October last year which is a pretty long time. I decided to do a makeup tutorial since I know a lot of people have requested a makeup tutorial when I posted a giveaway on my youtube channel. I never really thought about a makeup tutorial since last October because firstly, I am crap and not a professional and secondly, what tutorial would people be interesting in.
Urban Decay Ammo Palette Tutorial

I used the Urban decay ammo pallete which I have had for a few years and done a few looks from it but I have never done a bright eye tutorial.  One day I was just playing around with the eyeshadows ready to film videos for my channel and I came across this look. I used Shattered(Blue) all across the eyelid, then I used chopper(Brown) for the crease and outer V. To darken the outer V, I used Smog(Dark Brown) and then Grifter (Light Pink) in the inner part of the eyelid. This is a very simple and easy look to do and looks really pretty.

Please see the video below for the tutorial for this Urban Decay Ammo pallete look.

Glossybox August 2013

This months glossybox theme is High Flyers which is basically products from different countries around the world. As always it comes in the light pink box with black tissue paper apart from the special glossyboxes that gets released now and then. There are five products from around the world in this box.

The first product is by Emite Make up and the product is eyelash curlers. I actually dont own any eyelash curlers at the moment but I used to, so I am happy that I now have eyelash curlers in my makeup bag. Emite makeup is from the country of Sweden and these eyelash curlers actually costs £20 which is very pricy I think for curlers. Anyway this first product covers the cost of the box (£12.99), so pretty amazing to start of with.
Emite Makeup Eyelash curlers
The second product is by a perfume brand Juicy Couture and the perfume I have is Viva La Juicy Noir. I don't know if this is a brand new perfume but it smells really nice. This perfume has highlights of succulent ripe berry notes and gourmand accents, while adding a juicy touch of honeysuckle and a sultry hint of sandalwood. The full size of this product (100ml) comes in at £63.
Juicy Couture viva la juicy noir

The third product is by a well known brand Philosophy and I know this is very popular in the US, so I am very excited to try one of their products. I have the 3-1 cleanser and this product is apparently an award winning daily cleanser which is even more brilliant. They claim that this cleanses the skin and melts away all the makeup and can even be used to take off eye makeup. Its fragrance free and can be used for all skin types including sensitive skin. This product I am interested in because I am always trying to find different ways to take off my makeup and which product is the best. The full size for this cleanser is 240ml for £17.50 or 480ml for £28.50.

The fourth product is from the UK and it is the British brand Jelly Pong Pong which I don't think really represents British makeup brands since their products are not available in shops but online. I have had quite few products off theirs in past glossyboxes and some were good and some were bad, so I wasn't that impressed when I saw this 2-1 shadow/liner. It would have been perfect if it was in the colour black since I would be able to use it as eyeliner but the colour I have is a pink and I don't think I would actually use this because I don't wear pink eyeliner or pink shadow, so basically I have no use for this product in my collection. Also this is a full size product worth £10.50.

The fifth and last product is by Oceane and it comes from Brazil. I think this is another great product and it is a makeup remover pen. I have always wanted to try the simple version but I never got round to buying it, so I am sooo happy I have one in this months glossybox. As by the title, it is a makeup remover pen, so any little mistakes can easily be wiped away. This product also contains 3 refills when the original refill is full of makeup. Oceane are not actually available in the UK at the moment and glossybox has not put a price of this product but I am pretty sure it is a full size product.

Overall I am pretty pleased with this months glossybox and there are three full size products out of 5 which is not bad going.

Did you get this months glossybox? What was your favourite product?

Benefit rockateur (New Launch)

Benefit are releasing a new blush (Yay) in September and it is called rockateur which sounds pretty interesting. Rockateur is a rose gold shade with the word ROCK in the middle of the blush. I have read reviews about this new blush and apparently there are two shades of Rose gold. One shade of rose gold which is lighter with more shimmer and the other shade is darker in tone and less shimmer.

Benefit rockateur comes in a standard box with it being a boxed blush and it also comes with a small brush (as  per) and a mirror in the top lid.
 Benefit rockateur

The weight has become a talking point between beauty bloggers because the usual boxed blush comes in at 7 to 8g but the  rockateur weighs 5g which is a huge difference from the past. However the price is still £23.50 which is I think the normal price for a boxed blush by Benefit. Benefit has claimed that the reason why there is less product in this new blush is because it is a soft formula which can crack and make a mess within in the box.

Despite the lack of product in the box, I think I will consider buying the  rockateur since it looks so pretty and I love rose gold colours, so this is perfect for me.

Benefit Rockateur is out in Boots and online from 22nd August at a price of £23.50.

I am an Ambassador for John Freida

A little while ago, John Freida was advertising for new ambassadors to join and test out their products. This was advertised on their facebook page and the advert said anybody can join and can be an ambassador for them. Basically an ambassador gets free products sent to them to test the products. Then after a period of time, the company will ask for the ambassador's review and opinion of the products in question. I think there was about 90 odd people who was made an ambassador and I'm one of them which feels amazing. I am chuffed because I love John Freida products and their frizz Ease range.

John Freida Ambassador
One day after work, I came home to find a box on my bed with John Freida displayed on the side. I thought to myself, did I order anything from them and I was sure I didn't order anything. So I opened the box up to find 5 full size products with a letter from them saying congrats on becoming an ambassador and the five products in the box was an introduction into the ambassador world. I had to try out the products for 2 to 3 weeks and give my opinion on the products.

John Frieda gave me 5 full size frizz ease products to try out and there was even a product which said it was new. The total amount these 5 products came to was £32 and the postage was £7 to £8 which I was gobsmacked. They sent me £40 worth of products to try and I was so excited to try the products out.

So the 5 products are:

Frizz Ease Dream Curls Shampoo
Frizz Ease Dream Curls Conditioner
Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery Intensive Masque
Frizz Ease Secret Agent Perfecting Creme
Frizz Ease Dream Curls Enhancing Oil

I have actually used all 5 since I had to review them a couple of weeks ago. They are all designed for frizzy and curly hair like mine and should reduce the amount of frizz I get. I will do reviews on a couple of them which I thought were the best and give you my opinion.

July Faves 2013

Hello everyone, so this post is going to be my favourite beauty products for the month of July. I haven't done a favourites for a few months now because I usually stick to the same products if I like them but I have decided to try out a few new product.

If you like to watch the video version of the July favourites, then please click on the below video which will take you to my youtube channel.

So I only have 5 favourite products for the month of July, some new and some old.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - This is a lovely concealer because the texture is sooo creamy and soft to touch which makes it a pleasure to apply. Fit me covers most problem areas such as blemishes, spots, redness, acne scars apart from dark circles. I would use another concealer to cover up dark circles since this does cover the darkness to some extent but it doesn't completely cover and get rid of dark circles. This is a brilliant concealer for £5.99 and I have mine in 15 fair.

Collection (2000) Fix Me Up - The Collection fix me up is a spray which should hold makeup in place in hot weather. When the UK had hot weather, I tried it out and sprayed it on my face. It felt really cooling and smelled amazing. My face did feel quite wet from the spray but after five minutes, the wetness went and was left with normal looking makeup. I felt like this helped my makeup to stay in place whilst I was at work all day and was still left with makeup in the evening.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner - I have never really been into liquid eyeliners because I am never good at liquid eyeliners and I was a bit scared of trying it out. However this has completely changed my mind. The eyeliner was a felt tip which makes it a lot more precise and easy to draw a line onto the top of the lashes. Very easy to use and easy to take off with a makeup remover, loved it.

Urban Decay Cream Highlighter Sin - The Urban Decay cream highlighter in Sin I have had for a couple of years now. When I first got it, I loved it but after a while, I found new products which took over and this got forgotten about. One day, I looked through my makeup drawers and found this out again. It is a lovely champagne shimmery colour which I think will look lovely on all skin tones. The colour is brilliant for the summer and highlights the areas well.

Benefit Coralista - Benefit Coralista is probably one of the best blushers I own because it smells amazing and the colour is a lovely coral with a slight shimmer. Since it is a coral colour, it is perfect for the summer which is why I chose it again but it looks lovely on all skin tones especially fair like me. The shimmer isn't overpowering which is good because its nice and subtle and the colour is noticed a lot more than the shimmer.

So those were my favourites for July and I know there wasn't a lot but I promise next time I do a favourites there will be more.
