October Beauty Savings and Deals

This is going to be another new series of posts on my blog. I thought I might as well write a blog post about all the savings and deals that are around in the shops either online or in store for people in the UK. I love finding deals and saving money on products that I actually want to purchase myself. It can be quite hard to figure out which is the best deal within different shops, so I have designed a post that will help you with that. Every month, I will research the latest deals within the two main drugstore shops (Boots and Superdrug) and any department stores within the UK.

Moving on, I have researched and selected the main deals and savings for October 2015.

Superdrug

  • Free Tote Bag  - If you buy any products that are in the 3 for 2 scheme then you will receive a Tote bag. The tote bag looks to be a normal size tote, so you can get a magazine in the bag without folding it in half. However, you are still getting one product free (The cheapest) and you get a free tote bag. I will definitely be going to Superdrug soon as I have a hit list of products and I will see what this offer is all about. This offer ends 24th November 2015 and only one bag per transaction.

  •  Buy 1 get 2nd half price on Rimmel Tanning products - At the moment, Superdrug is running a deal on Rimmel tanning products. This is all the tanning products from instant to gradual to face bronzers that Rimmel makes. It is getting into that time of year where we all wish to have a nice looking tan and this deal will certainly help you to achieve that look.

Boots

  • 750 points if you buy 2 Clarins products - This offer is only available to advantage card holders. You should own an advantage card if you buy a lot of beauty products anyway! So if you buy any two Clarins products (Skincare and Make-up), then you will receive 750 points on your advantage card.
  •  Free gift at Revlon - If you buy three Revlon products then you will receive a free Revlon Photoready Prime + Anti - Shine Balm. The shine balm costs £9.99, so you are getting a brilliant saving. Also, because Boots are running their 3 for 2, you can also buy three products, get one free and then get another free product. I think this is a very good deal.

  • Save 1/3 On L'oreal Skincare - I know 1/3 off products is not an awful lot of saving, but it is still money off right? At the moment, Boots have reduced most of the L'oreal skincare line by 1/3. So for example, if I wanted to buy the Skin Perfection Anti Fatigue cream, it would cost me £7.99 instead of £11.99 saving me £4.00. This deal is good if you use their skincare range already or would like to try some of their products.

  • Barry M Halloween Bundle - On the Boots website, I found this make-up bundle. Basically, this bundle of make-up is for Halloween and it involves some dark shades/colours.Within this bundle, you will receive; Black and White Nail Paints, Lip Paint in Blac and Kohl Pencil in blac. The Barry M bundle costs £10, which saves you £3.46 when you buy all the products separately. I have checked this on Superdrug and it is definitely a saving.

  • Sleek Halloween Bundle - I also found this Halloween bundle on the Boots website. Within this bundle, you will receive; I-Divine palette in Enchanted Forest, I-Quad Eyeshadow palette in Black , a true colour lipstick in Vamp and a dip it eyeliner in Black. Obviously, these are all dark colours due to the theme of the bundle. When you buy all these products together, it will cost £17.49 rather than £23.46, giving you a saving of £5.97.

                                                      Debenhams

£10 Elizabeth Arden lipsticks - The last offer for this month's post is the amazing deal by Elizabeth Arden. They have temporarily reduced all the lipsticks within their brand to just £10. As everyone knows, Elizabeth Arden is a high end brand that charges £18 - £21 per lipstick which is a lot of money. If you buy a lipstick for £21 and it is currently reduced to £10, you have saved £11 which is an amazing save. This offer is only available from 19th to 25th October, so go and get your lipstick now.

So they are all the best deals and savings that I could find for this month. I will try and do this kind of post every month to share with you the deals that I can find. If you want to know the latest deals for next month, then subscribe to my blog.

Upcoming beauty products for September 2013

Hello, I have six brand new launches coming out in the month of September and there are more launches but I would actually buy these products.

The first one is by Sleek makeup and it is their vintage romance collection. This collection consists of two products, one is an I Divine pallet in Showstoppers and a blush called Vintage. The colours in the i divine palette are all very autumn inspired such as berry colours and very neutral brown colours. Also there are three finishes to the eyeshadows; matte, shimmer and sparkle which is the norm for sleek limited edition palettes. The blush is a neutral but very shimmery and sparkly. The sparkle is an iridescent silver glitters which could look over powerful if applied too much. As I have said before this is a limited edition collection, so I would get it before they run out of stock or stop selling it. The eyeshadow palette is £7.99 and the blush costs £4.99.

The next one is a blush by Benefit. I have already done a blog post on the new benefit blush. Please see the following link for more information about the Benefit blush - http://laurensmart1993.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/benefit-rockateur-new-launch.html

The third product being launched in the month of September is by Models Own. Models Own are releasing the firework collection. I love the names of the nail polishes and the name of the whole collection. The firework collection includes five glitter nail polishes. These glitter nail polishes can be used as a top coat over another nail polish or on their own. Sparkler contains holographic strands in a clear base. Catherine Wheel contains four glitters which includes mini gold strands, red dots and holographic strands. Banger contains blue strands, two shades of blue hexes and fuchsia micro glitter in a clear base. Roman Candle contains pink glitter with black and silver strands in a clear base. Lastly Rocket contains red strands with black dots in a clear base. They each costs £5 but I know on the Models Own website, they will usually do a deal where you buy the whole lot for £20 pound. This collection has already been launched in their bottle shops, 2nd September for the official Models Own website, 4th September for Boots stores and 25th September for superdrug stores.

The next nail polish collection launch is Essie. Essie are releasing six new shades for the autumn and winter 2013. The names of the nail polishes follow, For the twill of it which is a rich maple with reflective olive shimmer. After school boy blazer which is a deep midnight blue. Twin sweater set which is a vibrant crimson red. Cashmere bathrobe which is a soft, true grey. The lace iron which is a jewel toned fuchsia. Lastly Vested interest which is a woollen cool grey teal. This collection is getting launched in Boots and Superdrug at £7.99 each.

The second to last one is by MUA and it is a brand new palette. I don't know what the name of this palette is called but I know it is a neutral toned palette. The first row of colours start from very light highlight colours to light browns. Then the second row is from medium to dark browns with one very deep/grey blue. I think this palette will be under £5 like with the other palettes from MUA.

The last product is from Rimmel London and it is their new stay matte mousse foundation. This is a lightweight, shine control, long lasting foundation.  Their are six shades; light porcelain, Ivory, True ivory, Soft beige, Classic beige and Natural beige. This foundation will be release on 4th September in Boots and superdrug at £5,99.

These are all the products coming out in September. I hoped you liked this post.

Haul and Review

Hiya everyone this is my first ever haul, so please be gentle :)
I have got these products over a couple of weeks, so i didnt buy them in one big hit. All these products i bought with my own money. There are a total of 6 make-up products, so lets get started...

The first product is a bourjois products. It is a blush in 34 rose d'or. This is such a nice colour. it is a dark pink with a hint of gold it in. when you open the pot, you get a nice sweet smelling scent and it smells really nice like roses. Also with the pot, you get a little brush and i havent used it because i dont like to use the brushes that come with products. I have tried it and it gives a nice pink glow because of the gold hint in it. It is a nice colour for summer.

The second product is the Maybelline colour sensational lipstick in ambre rose( 112). This is a great lipstick. It is a nice pink colour with shimmer in it. the colour is a bit pale but it is nice and pink on the lips. The smell is not that nice and not that bad, so it is average. i could put up with it because the colour is so nice on the lips. I would buy it again.
The next product is the Rimmel london moisture renew lipstick in soft coral(600). This comes in a purple package. It is a soft coral colour with shimmer it in. The shimmer is not much but you can see it. It is a really nice colour on the lips and it is nicer when i put clear lipgloss over it. It is a summer colour but can be worn anytime of the year. The smell is quite nice, it is not a horrible smell, it is a nice smell and can wear the lipstick on the lips.

The next product is the rimmel london lasting finish intense lipstick in pink blush(006). I couldnt find a picture, sorry. well the lipstick comes in a dark purple package. The colour is a pink colour as it says in the name. it has a bit of shimmer but not too much. It is a quite a pink colour. It is nice on the lips. The smell is really lovely and it is nice to put on the lips because of the smell.

The next product, is the natural collection green concealer. It is green because it helps to cover red spots which does help. It is a green concealer, i know it looks horrible but it does work, i have tried it out and it was ok. I would use it again.

This is my last product. It is the Rimmel london Sexy curves mascara. So this is a mascara with a weird wand. It has curves on the wand, i think this would be hard to apply it to the lashes. I havent tried it yet but i will try it soon. I got mine in Black.

That is my First haul and review on this blog, i will have more posts to come, so please follow me.thanks
