July Faves 2013

Hello everyone, so this post is going to be my favourite beauty products for the month of July. I haven't done a favourites for a few months now because I usually stick to the same products if I like them but I have decided to try out a few new product.

If you like to watch the video version of the July favourites, then please click on the below video which will take you to my youtube channel.

So I only have 5 favourite products for the month of July, some new and some old.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - This is a lovely concealer because the texture is sooo creamy and soft to touch which makes it a pleasure to apply. Fit me covers most problem areas such as blemishes, spots, redness, acne scars apart from dark circles. I would use another concealer to cover up dark circles since this does cover the darkness to some extent but it doesn't completely cover and get rid of dark circles. This is a brilliant concealer for £5.99 and I have mine in 15 fair.

Collection (2000) Fix Me Up - The Collection fix me up is a spray which should hold makeup in place in hot weather. When the UK had hot weather, I tried it out and sprayed it on my face. It felt really cooling and smelled amazing. My face did feel quite wet from the spray but after five minutes, the wetness went and was left with normal looking makeup. I felt like this helped my makeup to stay in place whilst I was at work all day and was still left with makeup in the evening.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner - I have never really been into liquid eyeliners because I am never good at liquid eyeliners and I was a bit scared of trying it out. However this has completely changed my mind. The eyeliner was a felt tip which makes it a lot more precise and easy to draw a line onto the top of the lashes. Very easy to use and easy to take off with a makeup remover, loved it.

Urban Decay Cream Highlighter Sin - The Urban Decay cream highlighter in Sin I have had for a couple of years now. When I first got it, I loved it but after a while, I found new products which took over and this got forgotten about. One day, I looked through my makeup drawers and found this out again. It is a lovely champagne shimmery colour which I think will look lovely on all skin tones. The colour is brilliant for the summer and highlights the areas well.

Benefit Coralista - Benefit Coralista is probably one of the best blushers I own because it smells amazing and the colour is a lovely coral with a slight shimmer. Since it is a coral colour, it is perfect for the summer which is why I chose it again but it looks lovely on all skin tones especially fair like me. The shimmer isn't overpowering which is good because its nice and subtle and the colour is noticed a lot more than the shimmer.

So those were my favourites for July and I know there wasn't a lot but I promise next time I do a favourites there will be more.

Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer Review

Nivea hydration primer launched many months ago but I have never done a review on this product. So here we go...

Nivea hydration primer comes in a glass packaging, so it feels really heavy and can smash when dropped on a hard surface. It has a screw top lid which means I can get to every single bit of product left in the jar to finish it off. One thing I hate about tubes, is that its very hard to get all the product out and I feel like I am wasting the product. So for me, this is perfect since I can get to all the product.
Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer
When I applied it to the face, it felt quite fresh and a wet feeling which went away after 5 minutes max. It left my face feeling soft and fresh. It felt like my skin was hydrated a lot more after I used this product and left my skin smooth. There is no chemical smell, just a very fresh smell (not very good at pinpointing smells by the way). The lotion is a white colour but when blended into the skin, it turns clear.

Half way through the day, it seemed like my make-up was just about there, got quite shiny but nothing too bad. By the end of the day, I usually use my superdrug tea tree cleanser and boots cotton pad to take my make-up off, I hardly got any product on the pad which means either my make-up has slid of my face or absorbed into my skin which is thanks to the Nivea express hydration primer.

Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer
**Pros**
~ Fresh feeling
~ Supple and soft skin
~ Hydrates Skin
~ Easy to get all the product out due to the screw top lid

**Cons**
~ Not a PRIMER!!!
~ Make-up was not on my face by the end of the day
~ Heavy packaging due to glass

Clean & Clear Releases Clear & Soothe Range

Clean and Clear has recently launched a new range within their brand and it is called Clear & Soothe. This new range is all about soothing the skin and not causing discomfort but to be gentle whilst fighting spots. Salicylic acid is included in the product to fight spots but also contains natural aloe vera to soothe the skin.

In the Clear & Soothe range, their will be two products launched. One is a foaming wash which cleansing facial wash for everyday use and it removes dirt, oil and impurties which help spots develop on the skin. The second product is a Daily scrub which contains glycerine and exfoliating micro beads( as with every face scrub) which helps to remove the dead skin and reveal new and fresh skin helping to unblock pores and reduce the number of spots forming on the skin.

This range comes inside the advantage range that they already have out in shops.

Both of these products will be priced at £4.99 and launching mid - June. So in theory, both of these products should be out in Boots, Superdrug and any shop that sells Clean And Clear range.

Alberto Balsam Launches New Honey And Sweet Almond Range

I love the brand Alberto Balsam and I especially love their shampoo. My mum bought the tea tree one and it smells amazing. So when I heard that Alberto Balsam are launching a new range called Honey and Sweet Almond I was Excited. This sounds like I am going to enjoy using this product and would smell lovely.

In this range they will be launching a shampoo, conditioner, and an intensive conditioning treatment. The shampoo is to cleanse, and moisturise dry and damaged hair. The conditioner helps to detangle, nourishes and smoothes hair. Lastly the intensive conditioning treatment is for dry and damaged hair.

All these products contain honey and sweet almond extract and pro vitamin B5 to strengthen dry and damaged hair.

The honey and sweet almond range will be out next week in shops that sells Alberto Balsam, I know that Asda sells this brand if anyone is asking.

They all cost £1.07 each which is pretty amazing because the shampoo is great quality for how much it costs

Models Own Nail Polish 'Pink Paradise'

Pink Paradise is a new nail polish from Models Own from their latest collection containing 5 shades. The 'splash' collection has literally just came out into Boots and I saw Pink Paradise and had to pick it up.
Models Own Nail Polish Pink Paradise

Pink Paradise looks like a super bright barbie pink colour but in actual fact its nowhere near as pink on the nails. Its a very sheer pink with chunks of iridescent glitter shining purple, orange, yellow and green with shimmer particles shining the same colours. The first layer is very sheer with a hint of pink and a varied amount of glitter.

I used three coats of Pink Paradise and it still does not look like the colour in the bottle. However I do like the colour on the nails, its not an overpowering pink, its a light pink colour which a heap of glitter particles. The glitter particles look stunning in the sun shine and can still pick up the glitter in dull daytime whether.

Models Own Nail Polish Pink Paradise
Plus if you are looking for a super quick nail polish to apply, I would not recommend this as it does take 5 mins max to dry and you need quite a few layers to make the colour decent enough.

Overall dont expect pink paradise to be as pink as in the bottle, but its still a nice pink to where with the glitter which looks so nice. You might be able to get the same colour if you layer the nail polish lots of times but I prefer just three coats.

Models Own Nail Polish Pink Paradise
The problem with glitter nail polishes like this one, is the removal process. I think it will take a long time and a lot of nail polish remover and patience.

Mac Baking Beauties Haul

I have never really been a MAC fan since there products are expensive for what they are. However I do keep an eye out for any collection that catches my eye and this collection did just that.

MAC Baking beauties

The first item is a pro longwear paint pot in 'Mooncake'. This is my first ever paint pot and I am quite happy with this one. I love the colour, its so fresh and shimmery which will be best for the spring and summer.. Mooncake is a warm beige, so it is very netural and can be either worn on its own or under eye shadow.

The last few items are the pearlmatte face powders in Pink buttercream and In for a treat. These two are just amazing and so pretty. Pink Buttercream is a light silvery pink base with dark pink flowers and periwinkle leaves. This one is going to be great for light skin tones and the pink roses in the middle can be used as a pink blusher.

The second pearlmatte face powder is In for a treat which is a champagne base with matte coral flower and mint leaves. This can be used on all skin tones and the flowers in the middle can be used as a coral blusher. Both of these face powders are so beautiful to look at, however they do come at a cost of £21.50 which is the second highest product I have bought in my life so far.

Overall, all these products are very me and the colours are just amazing for this upcoming summer
