Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser Review

Biore released this cleanser a few years back I believe but I only saw this in Boots a couple of months ago. I picked this product up due to the product apparently being new to Boots and I wanted to try another product which helped me to get rid of any blemishes that appear on my face. I have tried so many skincare products which are meant to either reduce or get rid of any blemishes on my face.

Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser

They claim that the 'ice cleanser helps stop blemishes before they start by removing over 99% of dirt and oil that can cause them, so you're left with clear skin'. Keep reading to see if I agree with their claim to better skin...

Firstly, the packaging for this product is a bottle with a pump. You might say that is a good concept? However for some reason rather than turning the pump and it locks, Biore wants you to push down the pump (which releases a lot of product) and then turn it to one side to lock it. Either you have to waste the product or try and lock it with the one hand. I love products that locks after use because it stops product from escaping into a cosmetic/skincare bag on travel and covering every product in goo. I would say that is the only downfall for this whole product.
Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser

The product itself is a clear gel type formula and the consistency is quite runny so it is easy to use less product than other products which are thick in consistency. The smell is quite strong on the nose to start of with but the more you use it, the less strong it will be.

When I first washed my face with the ice cleanser, I noticed how strong the smell was, it was pretty powerful stuff. Also I used one to two pumps to cover my whole face and when I applied it, it wasn't very thick, so it was pretty easy to apply. I know this is a ice cleanser rather than the normal cleanser they have, I didn't notice the cooling sensation on my skin. Is it just me who doesn't get the 'ice' part? This product does lather up a bit when rubbing into the skin which I quite like. When I had enough of rubbing the product into my skin, I washed it off with cold water which was easy enough to do. The only thing I would warn you about is if you get product in your eyes, it will sting like crazy.
Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser

As for the results, I reviewed the progress of this after a week and it made me break out even more. However after using it for a few months now, I can say that this has not given me anymore breakouts and it has reduced the amount of blemishes I get on my face but I still get blemishes so it hasn't completely solved my problem. I would say that you will need a moisturiser after just because it can be quite drying on the skin.

Pros
  • Easy to apply and blend
  • Foams up when massaged into the skin
  • Has reduced the amount of blemishes I get
  • Cheap and affordable
  • Available in local shops and drugstores

Cons
  • The badly designed lock design
  • Stings like crazy if you get it in your eyes
  • Made me break out at first

Overall I would rate this product 7 out of 10 just because it did help my skin clear up a tiny bit. But the lock system is a big downfall in my eyes. The Biore blemish fighting ice cleanser is available in Boots and Superdrug now at a price of £4.99.

No7 Brush Cleanser First Impressions Review

For some time now, beauty companys have released brush cleansers such as the clarisonic skin cleaning brush. I know clarisonic has released two brushes called Mia which has become popular. Then there are other brands which are starting to catch on that the clarisonic's skin cleaning kit is a hit in the beauty community.
No7 Brush cleanser

I little while ago, I went into Boots and wandered over to the no7 counter and saw they had their own version of the Clarisonic Mia but cheaper. It was around £30 so it wasnt as expensive as the Clarisonic. However the quality might be different since it is a lot cheaper, so I bought it a couple of weeks ago just to try out a brush cleanser.

I have just started trying it out this morning, and thought I might as well do a first impressions review just to let you know my intial thoughts of this product.

No7 Brush cleanser
So as I said I used it for the first time this morning, and I used the Soap And Glory Peaches And Clean to work with the no7 brush. First of as always I used water to wet my face before hand. Then pumped out 2 lots of the Peaches And Clean cleanser and spread that evenly, on my face so that the brush had something to work with. On this brush there are two power settings, I used the first power setting which is a slow moving setting. I put the brush under the tap for a couple of seconds and started using the brush to cleanse my face.

At first, the brush seemed really harsh and rough on the face which made it a bit painful cleansing the whole of my face. I thought it would be soft and gentle but no it was quite harsh. I dont know if this is because the quality might not be as good as the Clarisonic since it is cheaper. But it seemed harsh for the skin, so I might not consider using this every morning and night.
No7 Brush cleanser

I would not recommend for people who have very sensitive skin since this would damage the skin a lot more and could be painful in use. Overall this brush did the job by rubbing in the cleanser into my skin but it feels very rough and harsh which might put me off using the brush all the time.

October Glossybox - DIY Beauty

This months Glossybox is all about having a cosy night in and treating yourself to a 'home spa experience' since October has been pretty rubbish for weather lately. Also its breast cancer awareness month, so Glossybox is supporting the breast cancer care by donating the money they make from this box.

As usual it comes in the nice pale pink box with their black logo on the front. Inside the box after I opened it up, I found four products instead of five which is a bit annoying.

Anyway the first product I picked up was the Dermalogica 3 step day and night kit. I have heard of Dermalogica and always wanted to try something from their range because their brand is very well known. In this kit, there is a cleanser, toner and moisturiser and it is for problem skin such as blemishes and acne. I have blemishes and I think this will be brilliant in controlling the blemishes and hopefully stop them from appearing on my face. This kit is £12 from cleanstart.dermalogica.com/uk/ ,

The second product I picked up was the Anatomicals Don't Just Clean It Woman, Scrub It. I love the name of this product, find it quite funny and catches the eye. This is a body scrub with a pink grapefruit scent in a long tube and is 75ml. This is quite a big sample which is brilliant because I find having bigger samples means you can try it out properly. I wanted another body scrub since my another one is nearly running out and this sounds right up my street.

The third product I picked up was the Skinetica Anti-Blemish Solutions. This solution helps to clear blemishes and any problems on the skin and should start to see the results in 2-3 days. They also claim its kind to skin with no side effects. To use this product, all you have to do is put some of the solution on a cotton pads and wipe it over the face without rinsing the product off.

The last product is by Yves Rocher France and I have a lipstick in 'Framboise' which is a bright red colour. Im not a big fan of red lipsticks because I dont like having bright lipsticks on and it might make me look washed out with pale skin. Its a full size product with £14.50 which is more than the box is worth. My camera would not focus on the lipstick but its just a normal red lipstick.

Overall this is a very good box for me this month and I would use most of the products apart from the lipstick. I cant wait to try the blemish products since blemishes can be a big problem for me. But very happy with this box.

What Tenerife Videos I Will Be Uploading To Youtube

As you all know, I have been to Tenerife last week and I thought I might as well do some videos around the trip. I am thinking about uploading 4 or 5 videos about the Tenerife holiday. This is what I am thinking uploading -
  • Whats in my tenerife travel make-up bag
  • Whats in my tenerife travel skincare/beauty/random bag
  • Tenerife experience and what I did
  • Tenerife haul
  • Pictures of the holiday

I hope this might not seem too much about tenerife but this holiday was my first ever proper trip abroad and I want to share my thoughts about the trip and what I did whilst I was there.

Whats in my tenerife travel make-up bag should be on youtube now for you to watch and the others will follow shortly.

Then after the whole tenerife videos, I will get back to normal with the beauty videos, I hope you enjoy :) x-x

Review - Simple Skincare

Hi everyone, this next post is a review on the simple skincare products i recently got and is in my previous skincare haul. I will be reviewing the kind to skin smoothing facial scrub, kind to skin replenishing rich moisturiser and kind to skin moisturising facial wash. Lets gets started...

The first product i will be reviewing is the kind to skin smoothing facial scrub. Bascially this product is a facial scrub and is meant to remove dead skin cells which is good to get good skin. I have used this a couple of times. It comes in a plastic bottle and it squirts out. When i opened it, i could not smell the product because their was no scent to it and that is the way it is meant to be. I like having a bit of a smell in products like this for some reason, so i was ok with having no scent to it. When i squeezed a bit on my palm, i rubbed it around in my palm and there is def little scrub balls in there. There was a lot of scrub balls which is a good thing because at least you know that there is little scrub balls in there and will remove dead skin cells. When i put it on my face, i could not spread it around because it would not let me. So you have to work quiet hard to move it around but it does work. It didnt leave my skin feeling dry and tight, it felt really nice afterwards. So thats a good product to have.

The next product is the kind to skin moisturising facial wash. This is a basic wash for the face. It is meant to clean the skin. This product also comes in a plastic bottle and it squirts out. When i first open this product, there was a slight smell to the product which is nice because the smell is not overpowering. It is just a nice smell to have. When i put it in my palm, the colour was clear like a gel but it wasnt a gel. I am used to white coloured face washs, so it was a bit strange. When i put it on my face, it was a bit difficult again but soon it got easier and it lathers on the face alright. So this is another good product from simple.

The last product is the kind to skin replenishing rich moisturiser. This is basically a moisturiser but richer than normal ones because they did have normal moisturisers but i wanted this one because my skin can become dry in some places. The product comes in a box with the name on it. Then i took it out of the box, it comes in a plastic bottles like the others. To get product out of the bottle, you have to squeeze it hard to get it out. When it comes out, the colour is white and is sort of a liquid. when put it on the face, it is easy to apply and is very blendable. It feels really nice on the skin, doesnt make it too heavy, its quite light which is nice. Also after 10 mins or so, it sinks in and you can feel it and is completey dry, so that good when you want to apply make-up or want to go to sleep.
Overall these three simple skincare products are good, some of them have bad points but can easily get around them. These are good skincare products and i would recommend them to anyone and they are super cheap. Also it is sold around the uk, i dont know about other parts of the world. Thanks for reading this post, any suggestions on what i can review, please leave a comment to any of my posts i have done, Thanks

Simple Skincare Haul

This is a haul on the skincare brand called simple. I bought these the same time i bought my make-up products in my last haul. I didnt want to put it in their because i was just going to have that as a beauty products haul. I have three products i would like to show you. But first off, i have spot prone skin and i did have problems with my skin last year and i had to use the clean and clear advantage face wash, clean and clear dual action moisturiser and the clearasil skin perfecting wash. I used them for over a year and it did clear up my skin very good but the clean and clear face wash did make my skin dry, so i stopped using it for a couple of weeks to see how my skin would cope. My skin was very good and i did get a few spots but not as bad as i was, so then i wanted to try something else and went to my local boots and got three simple skincare things.

The first one is the Kind to skin moisturising facial wash
.

The next one is the Kind to skin smoothing facial scrub.

The last one is Kind to skin Rich moisturiser.
This is what i got in my Simple skincare haul. I will do a Review on these soon. I hope these products wont break me out in spots, but will have to wait and see. Thanks for reading this post, If you have any ideas on what i can do, then please write a comment to this post. Also if you want me to try and get something and review it for you then i will. Thanks
